About Yurt City

Yurt City is a fund raising project for His Church at Summer Lake and the ministers and orders of His Holy Church. All funds go to the support of the Church and the work it does. Paul the apostle was also a tent maker in the early days of the Church to support himself and to take the burden of his own needs of the shoulders of the people. All Ministers and orders of the Church are directed to support themselves as much as possible. The dual purpose of building a good quality light weight portable shelter can also serve a valuable purpose in times of emergency.

About Yurts

Enthusiasts in other countries have taken the visual idea of the yurt—a round, semi-permanent tent—and have adapted it to their cultural needs. Although those structures may be copied to some extent from the originals found in Central Asia, they often have some different features in their design that adapt them to different climate and use.

In America yurts have become very popular. Yurt City has developed a unique lightweight ring that is extremely sturdy and engineered and built for extreme weather conditions. Their unique design allows them to be moved as often as you like. The round shape, while esthetically pleasing to the eye has the practical purpose of protecting them from extreme winds.

What are Yurts?

Yurts are portable shelters you will be proud to own and display. While these Yurt City designs it products as a portable shelter it is far more than your wall tents in durability and practical use. They can be put up in minutes and withstand a variety of weather conditions.

They are ideal for family or group camping vacations, hunting trips, backyard party shelters, changing rooms, temporary accommodation, hot-tub covers, special events, barbeques or even weddings. There is maximum usable space in a yurt.

One of their most admirable features is the headroom, sturdy walls and yet they are extremely portable and convenient. They can fit in a small trailer, the back of a pickup or even on a car roof.

Yurts and tents?

"And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts." Numbers 1:52

Tents are one of the oldest practicle shelters and have been essential inman's survival. What ever happens in the future I am sure some of it will be in tents. We hope you will make it a Yurt City Tent.
